Christina Stinson 

Owner, Principal Choreographer & Director of The Dance Center

Christina is a dance educator who has been sharing her expertise for over twenty years. As the schools director, she is immersed in the management and development of her school and talented staff and instructs a plethora of competitive and non-competitive classes. Her success stems from her tremendous experience, training, and talent.

Her early training comes from Shelley’s Dance Unlimited where she was mentored by Shelley Trehey. During her time there she was the Chief Training Associate, a Gold Medal High Score Soloist, Captain of the Dance Unlimited Performance Group, and the title holder of Miss Dance Capers from 1990-2000, during which she motivated and inspired her team to become a first-rate national competitor. Christina’s training continued the Hartford Conservatory where she engaged in numerous concerts.

Her choreography has won numerous regional and national award-winning high score and title winning soloists routines each year. Her proudest moments are when each student is proud and confident in their own achievements. Due to her great success with her competitive routines, Christina travels and adjudicates regional and national events throughout New England as he senior judge for the a Regional & National Dance Organization

Christina is an active member of the Dance Educators of America, New York City with whom she also completed her level II certificate from the DEA Teacher’s Training School.

                                     Miss Lindsey- Choreographer, Instructor 

Lindsay is a 2003 graduate from the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter High School. From high school she ventured off to The University of the Arts, where she graduated with honors in 2007 and holds a BFA in Jazz Performance Dance/ Theater. At the University of the Arts, Lindsay had the privilege to perform works by Ronen Koresh, Molly Misgalla, Wayne St. David, LaVaughn Robinson, Curt Haworth and Brain Sanders. She was also was chosen to work with soloist Rachel Berman from The Paul Taylor Company and also perform a prestigious solo choreographed by Kimberly Bears- Bailey; whom is assistant artistic director of Philadanco. Also, Lindsay was a receipt of the Dean's List every semester and won several scholarships. Lindsay currently teaches both competitive and recreational jazz and hip hop classes. Also, she has choreographed the opening and closing routines for a few years now for The Dance Center recitals. Lindsay was a part of the Six Flags entertainment team from 2006-2008 where she performed in several shows and became dance captain for the "Glow in the Dark Parade." During her time at Six Flags, she also was performing with the Eclipse Modern Dance Company and was a "tada" magic girl that. Lindsay had the opportunity to dance for the NCAA division 2 Dance Team and the Springfield Armourettes. Lindsay then ventured off to dance professionally Nationally and Internationally with the Vee Corporation. After traveling for 2 years, Lindsay then danced at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, Orlando FL. Now back home, Lindsay still has many opportunities to perform. Currently Lindsay still does magic shows with an International Illusionist from NYC, is apart of the cast of Shows4you Productions and the performance group Fountain Street Creative. Lindsay is happy to be back teaching at The Dance Center and is very honored to be apart of this family!

                                       Krista Brueno - Associate Choreographer 

Krista started dance at the age of three at Shelley’s Dance Unlimited where she excelled in all forms of dance. She furthered her education at the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter High School where she was a founding Catalyst Company member for three years and was the first graduating class in 2000. Still eager to dance more, she then went on to attend and graduate from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a BFA in modern dance performance. Now she works at Six Flags New England as a supervisor in entertainment and a choreographer for the park. Krista has performed nationally as a magician’s assistant for David Garrity for eleven years. Krista was invited to the 2005 National High School Dance Festival in Baltimore where she taught a modern-jazz class to high school students from around the country. Krista is also a seven year company member of The Eclipse Dance Company. This year, Krista has taught and assisted competitive and non-competitive routines in tap and modern at The Dance Center
