Pre-Dance
Pre-Dance
Helps younger dancers, ages 3-5, develop a greater sense of rhythm, flexibility, coordination, and enjoyment through the use of material that stimulates imagination and develops creative expression. It is a combination of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Acrobatics.
Tap
Tap
Basic technique of dance will utilize established rhythms and steps with emphasis on Boston style
Ballet
Ballet
Classical ballet based on a syllabus of gradual progression designed to increase ability, stamina, and discipline. Gradually with student's age and ability more complicated and demanding exercises occur while expanding the vocabulary of steps focusing on physical condition in these levels.
Lyrical
Lyrical
Demonstrates control, balance, extension, and emotional content using slow standard or slow contemporary music and styles. Its base from is a combination of Jazz and Balletic movements.
Hip-Hop
Hip-Hop
Combination of Jazz and street dance to popular tunes. Consisting of stretches, isolations, and muscle sculpting, followed by dance combinations and locomotive across the floor work. Good for learning the basic choreography and techniques, body sculpting, rhythms and timing. Hip-Hop is a dance influenced by African Afro-Caribbean jazz and street dancing. It is a fun way to get in shape using your body, mind, and soul.
Modern
Modern
All training is built around support, center, and energy. Modern dance makes use of these fundamentals in ways that are very different from Ballet or Jazz. A good working knowledge of the vocabulary of Modern dance is essential in order to be fully prepared for the demands of today's choreography. The basic movement concepts and techniques, body ease and awareness of motion.
Jazz
Jazz
A stylized form of dance. It has developed its own technique, terminology, and theory practice. Jazz allows dancers a greater freedom of expression, and movement, while still adhering to the basic principles of correct posture and body placement.
Pointe
Pointe
Develops the fullest extension of line of a dancer, enabling their greater mobility and freedom.
Competition Group
Competition Group
Comprised of hard working and dedicated dancers who devote 4 or more hours to dance each week. A strong commitment to discipline and hard work is required to join. These dancers represent our studio at competitions throughout the year. All competitive dancers is required to attend ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and modern. Please inquire for more information.
